3D maps built in After Effects using Copilot's Element 3D plugin and original typefaces and illustrations, combined with detailed historical and geographical map data of rivers, coastlines, mountain topography, infrastructure, and urban layouts.
The maps oriented the viewer throughout the series, marking important routes, way points and strongholds established by the warring parties, as they maneuvered to gain strategic control over varied geographic terrain across both land and sea.
Archival paintings were brought to life with animation over narration in order to portray scenes of events that occurred prior to the advent of the photographic camera.
